Pineapple House designers Zach Azpeitia, Kate Fleming and Stephen Pararo accept the ASID “Design Excellence Award” in the 2016 Model Home category.

It was a grand night at the Fox Theater at the American Society of Interior Design (ASID) 2016 “Design Excellence Awards” gala.  Pineapple House Interior Design was thrilled to win their 40th “Design Excellence Award,” and be recognized as the only interior design firm in US history to win ASID “Design Excellence” honors for 15 years in a row.

ASID is the nations’ oldest and largest professional interior design organization, with over 26,000 members.  Their prestigious “Design Excellence Awards” are based on a 100 point system.  Submissions are rated using criterion such as innovation, design solutions, creativity and the functional use of space.

Pineapple House owner Stephen Pararo has belonged to professional design organizations since 1976, but did not start entering projects into the ASID competition until 2001.  From that point forward, Pineapple House has received both single and multiple awards for 15 straight years.
