The bed featured in this post is a custom design that Pineapple House created to accommodate five adults in a single bedroom in our client’s Florida condo on the beach.  It is actually a trundle bed, with the lower bunk fitting a queen-size mattress, and the pull out trundle platform also fitting a queen-size mattress.  The upper bunk supports a single mattress.   The bottom two shots show the completed configuration, although the trundle is not pulled out.   Notice that on the end of the bed, within the bookshelves, designers have integrated port holes — based on the marine theme of the room — which gives guests a view into other parts of the room.  The platform by the bed is a place to relax, read, play games and/or watch television.
